If you do not relish the time, effort or stress in organising your own wedding, Ever After Elopements offers the perfect solution.

Each elopement will feel effortless, elegant, and deeply personal. A beautiful garden setting, a romantic suite, and thoughtfully prepared fine dining come together to create a calm, memorable celebration without stress or excess.

If you wish, up to six guests may join you for the ceremony, drinks, and dinner.

 

 

The Church

The charming 1870s church at The Milk Station is an ideal setting for a tiny, intimate, and deeply special wedding. Rich in character and history, it offers a sense of quiet beauty and timelessness that feels both romantic and grounded.

Carefully preserved and thoughtfully presented, the church provides a calm, atmospheric space for your ceremony — one that feels personal, meaningful, and perfectly suited to a celebration focused on the two of you.

 

 

The Venue

The Milk Station, located in Otaki on New Zealand's Kapiti Coast, is an historic venue just an hour from Wellington. It has been transformed to a world-class Italianate venue and is the back drop for your wedding.

Spanning four acres, the European inspired gardens offer serene spots, ideal for the two of you to enjoy and to capture your romantic photos.

How many photos will we get?
Jo at Captured by Friday is one of the top wedding photographers in the country. You will receive more than 250 professional photos of your wedding. Captured By Friday Photography

What are the payment terms?
A 25% deposit secures your date. The balance is payable one week before arrival.

How much notice do we need to give you?
A minimum of one week, subject to team availability.

What if we want hair and makeup or a videographer?
We have excellent recommendations and can connect you. These services are arranged and paid for directly.

What happens if we need to cancel?
For bookings made more than 14 days in advance

  • Deposit non-refundable
  • Cancel 14+ days before → balance refunded
  • Cancel 10–14 days before → 50% refund
  • Cancel less than 10 days → no refund

For bookings made within 14 days of the event

  • Deposit non-refundable
  • Balance is payable immediately
  • All payments are non-refundable

Do we need to plan or organise anything?
No. Every element of your elopement is arranged for you. Simply arrive, marry, celebrate, and stay. You’re welcome to bring your own wines but dinner wines are included.

Can we visit beforehand?
We don’t offer site visits because our Ever After Elopements Video shows you every detail of what you'll experience.

How many guests can we include?
Your package is designed for two. You may add up to six guests for pre-dinner drinks, the ceremony, dinner and wines at NZD $250 per person.

What about our vows?
Catherine, our celebrant, will work with you in advance to ensure your ceremony and vows reflect exactly what you want.

What will our elopement cost?

Dining

A personal chef will be cooking exclusively for you.

Your celebration includes a beautifully considered, seasonal surprise menu, accompanied by wines and designed to complement the the romance of the day. You are welcome to bring your favourite wines but we serve wines to accompany dinner.

From afternoon tea on arrival, to hors d'oeuvres with drinks, a degustation multi-course dinner, and a special breakfast the following morning, dining is an integral part of the experience.

I’m Margôt de Cotesworth. Together with our experienced professional team — Norbert, Jo, Sam, Catherine, Leonie — we curate each Ever After Elopement with care, precision, and warmth.

Rather than site visits, we provide a comprehensive video walkthrough that shows you exactly how your day will unfold. We invite you to watch the video, read our FAQs, and then enquire to book.

We take care of every detail, allowing your wedding day to be relaxed, seamless, and beautifully considered.

I have spent many years cooking, hosting, and designing gatherings of all kinds — from intimate dinners to weddings and private events. My background spans boutique catering, event hospitality, and interior design.

With Ever After Elopements, my focus is simple: to create a day shaped by romance, exceptional food, thoughtful service, and moments you’ll remember long after it has passed.

Yes, in terms of your vows. Our celebrant will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your story and preferences.

What flowers are included?
We provide flowers for the church, your room, and your dinner table.

Is there flexibility on the menu?
Your private chef will create a seasonal, multi-course, surprise dinner. Please advise dietary needs when booking.

When are elopements available?
All year.
